We are proud to announce thatViasky has become a Benefit Corporation: this is a significant affirmation of the company’s ongoing commitment to implementing processes that are not only a source of economic success but also capable of generating apositive impact on society and the environment.
But what does it really mean to be a Benefit Corporation? Or rather, how does Viasky intend to—and how can it—have a positive impact on people and our planet?
Beyond acronyms and certifications, being a Benefit Corporation means, first and foremost, taking responsibility—toward employees and their families, toward customers and suppliers, and, more broadly, toward society and the environment.
We are living in a historical period in which concepts such as gender equality, environmental sustainability, collective well-being, and social impactare becoming increasingly popular. Being green, dynamic, and inclusive are now imperatives, but we know full well that a few slogans on a website are not enough to achieve these goals.
Becoming a Benefit Corporation therefore meanstaking onthe responsibility of setting virtuous goalsand having one’s practices periodically evaluated to demonstrate that these goals are actually being pursued. Another concept that goes hand in hand with that of a Benefit Corporation istransparency.A Benefit Corporation must demonstrate, communicate, and validate its commitment: that is why we have committed to periodically producing official, validated documentation that explains, illustrates, and demonstrates what we are doing for the collective and environmental well-being.
Last but not least, there is the issue of thepurpose of Benefit Corporations: a commitment to people and the environment—but how does that translate into concrete action?
Viasky is a company that began in the fields of technology and information technology and has gradually broadened its horizons, coming to understand thattechnologycan be not only a means of generating profit, but alsoa vehicle for positive progress: We have seen, particularly over the last decade, that technology has supported cultural changes, leading to the adoption of new collaborative and inclusive work environments, streamlining and simplifying production processes, supporting work-life balance for employees, and, more generally, improving the impact that people—and especially companies—have on our planet while enhancing our quality of life.
So, does technology have no limits? If there are any, we believe they are primarily tied to our own perspective. We have therefore decided tofocus on those areas of our personal and professional lives where technology and services can truly make a difference.
Three Business Units: Innovate, Train, Share Stories
We offerIT servicesdesigned to improve business processes, support the digital transition, and foster a sustainable transition.
We have a business unit dedicated totraining, because if you really want to bring about change, it’s not enough to simply introduce innovations—you have to empower people to use them effectively.
Finally, we have a business unit dedicated tomarketingandcommunications, because today more than ever we believe it is important to effectively communicate our company’s story, vision, and results.
Three areas that naturally converge toward a single goal: for our company to have a positive impact on society, people, the environment, and our partners.
We are therefore eager to begin thisnew chapter in Viasky’s history, as it is now a Benefit Corporation.
